Today is a wonderful day. Why, you ask? I'll tell you why! Today I got my christmas wish granted! But that's for later. First up, a quick recap for the day!

Steamboat at bugis! To be honest, i never had craving for steamboat. But it wasn't too bad. Siyao showed us why he exceled in civics and moral education by purchasing a pair of $18 chopsticks! Kudos to you tofu! Your CME teachers will be so proud! Haha.

And i must confess I was a lazy asshole at dinner tonight. I absolutely refused to take food or refill my drink. Preferring to wait it out till someone decided to do so. Lol. So thanks to soedy, ken and ch for the drink refills and shu for the food replenishing. Haha.

Too bad chuanli jud and nat couldn't make it. Why liddat???

After the food, LAN session was a complete failure. After spending $2 on a shared cab fare, we arrived at Paradiz only to realise all were full house. If the place wasn't packed to the max, it was heated to the max. And it's obvious no one likes to play LAN in a pool of sweat. So after some deliberating, we adjoirned to dhoby ghaut zone x for some arcade action!

Oh yes, honorable mention for tonight : We spotted a 5 year old(maybe younger?) girl in a heated match of Counter-strike : Source! Her legs barely reached the end of the chair she sat on. I'm amazed she was tall enough to place her hand on the keyboard. She was pretty much burning money, staring at the sky more often than shooting enemies, though she did seem to have a grasp on the game mechanics. In short, she knew what she was doing. No joke.
How she managed to book herself a com and pay is still a mystery.

Anyway, arcade time was not bad!

3 rounds of Daytona and soedar won all three times. Yea, thrice.

1 round of bball hoops and the combined team of soedar and me lost to kenneth's as well as nicky's individual scores.

1 credit for a shooting game and i survived longer than soedar and kenneth's combined credit worth. Kenneth lasted less than 2 minutes. And soedar kept being shot while i had almost 0 injuries early in the game.

Pretty much shows what we shld do in a war. Soedar drives the land rover while i snipe/shoot enemies and ken and nicky lob the grenades. Instant win.

Headed homeward after that, which brings me to the best part of the night! At least for me!

As you know, my internet has been quite the bitch lately. Connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect. And it was pretty hard to determine the cause. And frustrating. And i wanted to explode.

But thanks to soedar's almost-thrown-away-but-still-brand-new 2wire router, we are certain of the cause! Basically, my router is GG and causing the disconnections.

Hence my wish for stable internet has been fulfilled! Yay!

Alright it's friggin late. Mainly because we had awesome fun playing wc3 in a non-lag, non-dc environment.

dT's LAN place is back in action baby! Ok now time to sleep what's left of the morning!

Hello again! And now for something that's rare! A day post! Yes. How often is it that I post in the day? But as we all know, it's Christmas! And as songs may suggest, it's the time of the year everyone is happy.

With that I can't be leaving the previous blog post on top...

Actually this just shows how bored I am at the moment. Nothing to do. I guess I'll succumb to the need to play games with an offline game. Haha.

That's it. I've said it countless times. But never put it on record. So here it is, on RECORD.

SINGNET. IS. F****D. UP. BEYOND. ALL. RECOGNITION.

I don't care. Blame the router they provide, blame the engineers messing around the servers, blame the damn phone line if you want. It's all singnet/tel anyway. Disconnecting once a year is wonderful. Once every 6 months? Still good. Once a month? Still probably not noticeable. Once a week? It might get a bit annoying.

BUT THIS.

THIS IS 5 TO 6 TIMES EVERY FRIGGIN 5 MINUTES. When it's on a roll, it DCs every 20 secs. YES. 3 TIMES IN 1 MINUTE.

JUST BY TYPING OUT THIS BLOG POST I'VE DC-ed AT LEAST 10 times. I counted. And I stopped at 10.

Because it's f*****g ridiculous.
Because this isn't what unlimited broadband is about.
Because SingNet can't/won't do shit about it.

They keep sending poor workers over to tell us our phone line is "good", and that there's "nothing wrong" after checking the line. Duh. They don't send them over when there's a f*****g problem. No. Send them a few days later, when it's all working again.

Not that they'll send people over at 1am anyway.

Ah well, I don't think I'll even bother to blog another hate-post for SingNet. So for any future DCs, line problems and other f**k shit they're gonna cause me in my lifetime, here's to singnet :

And yet another update within a short span of time! But it'll be a short one.

Well, today, I finally decided to make a move and got around to getting my PDL! That's right. More than a year after passing the SAF driving test, I've finally gotten the civilian version of the PDL! So I can officially start lessons! But gotta book test first!

I've stepped into the CDC about thrice and I hate the place already. I had a stomach ache today. Pretty urgent. The toilet was easy enough to find. The entry was a problem. Only enrolled students get free entry to the loo. The rest(myself included) had to pay 10cents. Damn. Fine. Urgent is urgent. Inside, were only 2 cubicles. And upon entering a cubicle, I noticed something. No toilet paper. Conveniently placed outside my cubicle was a tissue dispenser. How nice. Another 20cents gone. And it's not like the toilet had the most conducive environment to relieve yourself. The floor was wet and the flush system flushed everytime I moved. 30 cents just to shit.

And the damn idiot outside collecting his friggin entrance fee REFUSED my 2 x 5cents. I woulda fought him, but shit comes first. His attitude almost made me consider shitting in the sink. Haha. Ok maybe not. I wouldn't do that ever. But he's still an ass.

So it's not as disgusting as some other PPE(Pay Per Entry) toilets I've been to. The Simei MRT one is actually worse... But it's free now. Even so... yuck.

Well, now looking forward to 24th March. The pole-less driving test. Looks like things might be a BIT harder than i thought after all. Should be starting lessons around January. Whoohoo! And for anyone who is reading and knows who siyao is, please knock his head and convince him to get a manual license!
